About "Die Schlumper"

“Die Schlumper” is an artists’ group based in Hamburg, Germany, founded by Rolf Laute in 1980. Currently, the position of Artistic Director is held by Anna-Karoline Pongs-Laute, the daughter of the founder, who grew up witnessing her father’s sincere dedication to working with artists. The group is now made up of about 30 talented artists with disabilities, each with their unique creative styles, and it has earned international acclaim. HERALBONY first visited the group in 2024 and deeply resonated with Die Schlumper’s profound respect and affection for the artists, which led to the establishment of a partnership.
