HERALBONY Co., Ltd. is pleased to announce the continuation of its international art award, the “HERALBONY Art Prize 2025 Presented by Tokyo Tatemono|Brillia,” following the successful Art Prize 2024. This award honors the remarkable talents of artists with disabilities. Building on the inspiring response to the inaugural 2024 award, which attracted 1,973 submissions from 28 countries and regions, we aspire to elevate this year’s competition under the theme: “The sky is the limit. Break through the wall. Free your creativity.”
The Grand Prize-winning artwork will be showcased in three cities – Tokyo, Iwate (home to HERALBONY’s headquarters), and Paris – highlighting the award’s global reach. Applications will be open from November 13, 2024, at 17:00 JST until December 30 through the official website.

Below is a statement from HERALBONY’s Co-CEOs, Takaya Matsuda and Fumito Matsuda.
In the 2024 HERALBONY Art Prize, we received nearly 2,000 diverse works from 28 countries and regions, with Ms. Haruka Asano honored as the first Grand Prize winner. Asano’s award-winning piece, Hyōka (ヒョウカ), embodies a fervent desire to be rightfully ‘recognized’ in society. Often, people with disabilities are seen as ‘pure,’ yet their desire for recognition and independence is a right as universal as it is fundamental – a notion we are reminded of profoundly.
This award, supported by various companies and public institutions, challenges the traditional, able-bodied-centered capitalist economy and aims to propose a new vision of ‘normal.’ The creative vitality of artists from around the world brings dazzling, joyful color to our hearts and landscapes, inspiring new possibilities. Together, let us take that first step toward a world where all are rightfully ‘recognized’ – a future illuminated by the brilliance of extraordinary talents.
